“Never forget” apparently needed a footnote. September 11, 1857. Mountain Meadows.
The date points to the Mountain Meadows Massacre, when a Mormon militia and some Paiute participants killed emigrants traveling through southern Utah. A familiar slogan, an earlier September 11, and a chapter that deserved more than a quick mention in Sunday School.
The pointed reminder is about selective historical memory. The people who died deserve to be remembered.
The shirt

- Soft-washed, garment-dyed, pre-shrunk fabric with a relaxed unisex fit.
